Three people were killed in a plane crash that occurred in Rantoul, Illinois on Sunday morning.
A 56-year-old man, his 47-year-old wife, and the couple’s 19-year-old daughter were the only passengers of a single-engine Piper PA 46 plane that took off from an airport in Rantoul. During takeoff, the plane crashed and, according to the FAA, it burst into flames in a nearby vacant lot.
The accident is still being investigated, and it was reported that weather conditions in local areas were severe at the time of the crash.
Our thoughts and sympathies are with the friends and family of the three people who died in this accident.
