A driver was injured after his car crashed into a house near Churchill Road the morning of April 5.
St. Matthews Police reported that the accident happened before 8 a.m. when a black Mercedes Benz suddenly changed course on Hubbards Lane and slammed into a corner of a house in the 200 block. Homeowners Rick Caswell and his wife said they were going through their morning routine when the crash happened. Rick thought the accident was a natural gas explosion. The couple was fortunately not injured because they were in another part of the house, away from where the car crashed, but their dog did sustain injuries.
The driver of the car was brought to an area hospital for the injuries he sustained. His condition and identity have not yet been released.
