A motorcyclist is fighting for life at the University of Louisville Hospital after a drunk driver hit him on Poplar Level Road and Naomi Drive.

The man on the motorcycle is currently on life support and suffering from an open skull fracture and several internal injuries. Louisville Metro Police say that the man who hit him was drunk and very hostile when they approached him. He began to kick the officers and struggle with them so much so that they could not get him to perform field sobriety tests.

The driver has been charged with drunk driving, resisting arrested, third-degree and first-degree assault, and wanton endangerment.
