A 32 year-old man was found guilty of second-degree murder after he killed two people while test driving a car. The man was test driving a Dodge Challenger that reached speeds of over a 100 mph when he crashed into another car, killing the driver and her step father.
The car accident occurred in August 2009 in Louisville. His attorneys argued that he did not fully understand the power of the car, but the victims’ family say that he knew exactly what he was doing. The jury sentenced the driver to the minimum sentence and recommended that the two five-year sentences in prison run concurrently. He can be up for parole after serving 20% of his sentence.
