A deer darting in the middle of the road proved deadly for a motorcyclist driving down Highway 50 south of Louisville yesterday morning.
A sedan driving northbound on the highway hit the deer, which caused it to become airborne. The deer flew to the other side of the road into southbound traffic and hit the motorcyclist. The 36 year-old was thrown from his bike and killed instantly. His bike continued down the highway until it landed in a ditch.
The driver in the car was unharmed. Police say that neither driver was speeding when the accident occurred.
Our deepest sympathies are with the family and friends of the victim who died in this accident.
