An 18-year-old man was seriously injured when he was struck by a car on U.S. 150 on Sunday morning.
According to officers of the Floyd County Sheriff’s Department, the man was walking in the eastbound lane of the highway at around 2:30 a.m. when a man driving a 1985 Chevrolet El Camino hit him. Officers have stated that they are not sure why the 18-year-old man was walking on the highway at the time of the accident.
This accident is still being investigated. It has been speculated that no criminal charges will be filed against the driver of the El Camino.
