A single-car accident claims two lives when the vehicle crashed into a tree just outside of Bowling Green. Investigators believe speed was the main contributor of the accident. The driver and passenger were killed when the car was speeding over a sharp turn, causing it to skid off the road and hit a tree. The vehicle immediately burst into flames, says one witness.
The impact of the crash caused the car’s battery to fly out and land in a neighboring front yard. It took nearly three hours for emergency responders to remove the bodies from the mangled car.
Our deepest sympathies are with the family and friends of the two victims who died in this tragic accident.
