A 3-vehicle crash occurred in Florence on Tuesday at 3 p.m. that left one driver injured. The accident involved a car, a truck with a trailer, and a semi-truck.
The accident happened on US 42. According to police reports, the car struck the trailer-towing truck from behind. Immediately after hitting the truck, the car was rear-ended by a semi-truck. The accident caused two lanes of the highway to be closed for several hours as police cleaned up the scene.
The driver of the car was injured and taken to University Hospital by helicopter. The driver’s current condition has not been reported. Police investigations into the accident are still underway.
